Terms & Conditions

Shipping & Delivery
We ourselves buy many things online and one thing that really gets on our nerves is when online shops have unrealistic postage charges, which don't reflect the price of shipping. This is something we wanted to address and we hope that our postage prices are fair for you, the customer, but also for us too.

We have set up our postage so that the price is calculated based on the weight of your order. You will see on all our listings that we have added the weight of each item, this weight is for a purchase of a single unit on the website. So, for example, the weight is for one metre of fabric or one lot of 10 metres of bias binding. We have set our site to display the weight of all the items we have so you can jot this down to tot them up then check the price on our table below:

Buy in Metres Or FQ?
What is a Fat Quarter (FQ)?  It is a term used in patchwork and sewing and is a way of cutting a yard of fabric into four square shaped pieces. You cut half a yard of fabric and then cut this piece in half again.  This gives you a piece of fabric approximately 18 inches by 22 inches (45.5cm by 55cm). It is far more versatile for lots of projects.  There are lots of patterns that are specifically designed for using fat quarters and they make an ideal way to build up a collection of styles, colours and themes for projects you come across in the future without spending a fortune on material. Most fabrics are 44” or 110cm wide but some are different so the width of the fabric will be shown in the description as well as the approximate FQ size just to make things clear.
What if I buy three Fat Quarters?  (or any odd amount)If you buy 3 fat quarters, you will get a piece measuring approx. 27” by the width of the fabric.  The reason for this is that we always send our fabric in continuous lengths.  If you require the 3rd quarter as a fat quarter cut separately, please let us know and we will send it that way.
